About the WITS program at UW

Watch the video for a sample of our enthusiastic students!
Welcome! The Wyoming Interns to Teacher Scholars (WITS) program at the University of Wyoming (UW) is a Robert Noyce Scholarship program providing scholarships for tuition, housing, and room and board to assist talented STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) majors in becoming elementary teachers in Title-I school districts.

Additionally, the WITS program provides internships to UW students with fewer than 30 credit hours to encourage elementary teaching as a career.

As a result of the WITS program, undergraduates, graduates, and professionals will obtain a K-6 Teaching Certification and be highly prepared to teach STEM subjects in elementary schools.
A close-knit faculty and staffed team works closely with students to expand elementary teachers’ mathematics and science content knowledge, and strengthen their capacity to sustain STEM teaching and learning in schools. Learn more about our WITS team here.
